Arboretum

It was a day full of sunshine, so we spent the morning walking the trails at the Washington Park Arboretum. Of course, we had to stop for a few pictures along the way!

Family Dinner

We ate and laughed the evening away with dear friends during a taco fiesta at the Barges tonight. Bennett was very fond of his 3 year-old friend Nola, and would sneak glances and giggles at her whenever he could. Thanks for a great night!

At the Park

Bennett is so content sitting at a park and observing the world around him. It was one of my favorite moments to date with him today as we were sitting in the grass and he would occasionally give his little wave at something passing by. I don't know if it was the cars, bicyclists, walkers, dogs, planes, houses, trees, or what, but he was handing out unsolicited waves and it melted my heart each time he did. He loves sharing his newly acquired skill!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

It was 2 years ago today when we said our "I Do's" at Luna Park in the rain!

I think about the words from Into the Mystic and hope that we are following through in our marriage and our lives!

We plan to celebrate with a date night in the near future, but chose to follow a typical Monday routine tonight. Our swim class ended up being canceled due to a neighborhood power outage, so we had extra time for playing, eating, singing, and more playing. I had taken Bennett to the doctor after work since I still sensed that something seemed to be bothering him. At the visit, we learned that his ear infection is still hanging around, even after finishing a full course of antibiotics. We now have a stronger prescription and hope that it clears up over the next 5 days on the new meds!

We have so much to be thankful for after two years of being the Turpdersons!!

Feed Me!

Bennett has now graduated to solid foods. He definitely inherited his appetite from both of us and has always been a great eater since day one. We are excited to introduce him to a world of flavors. He seemed to enjoy this new concept as he smiled throughout the meal and just wanted to hold the spoon himself. Feeeed me!

Tiny Tots Swim Class

Last night was Bennett's first swim class at the community center and he seemed to be a natural! We danced and did water movements to "The Wheels on the Bus', did the torpedo, did some assisted back and tummy floats, and kicked and splashed in the water so that he becomes used to all the ways the water moves around him. It will be a treat getting some family pool time twice a week now!

Fun at Pacific Beach

Torrey Pines State Reserve

We took a refreshing hike out at Torrey Pines Reserve and took in the wonderful views from atop the cliffs overlooking the beach. Of course since it looked so beautiful from above, we had to get down and enjoy the beach and water too! We had a nice lunch at another local brewery before heading on to our next adventure!

San Diego Zoo

What a great choice for Bennett's first zoo experience!! There was a lot of ground to cover, so we spent a nice chunk of time here enjoying all the cute animals and learning all about their way of life. We especially loved the pandas, elephants, giraffes, cheetah, and hippos.

Mission Beach
