Walk for Animals

The wind and rain did not stop us from participating in the Walk for Animals to support the Animal Humane Society today. For me, animal rescue is the best and only way to go and I am lucky to have found the best furry companions in Hampton, Porter, and Kel because of it. Although we were all soaked in the end and I was not able to get Hampton the hot dog we had talked about, we had an awesome time celebrating all the creatures in our lives, seeing all the adorable dogs, and laughing about being out in the crazy weather. We could not do the entire 5 miles because of the downpour, but what matters most is that we got out there to support a cause dear to our hearts and everyone had a fun time.

We then warmed up with dry clothes at home before heading out for a great lunch.

Happy Easter!!

What a fantastic day we had and such gorgeous weather!

We had a mini Easter egg hunt at home this morning and then a giant one for Bennett and Maddie when we celebrated the holiday at Uncle Casey and Aunt Jen's house today. It was a very fun-filled day with a walk to the park, tons of eating, playing outside, bug hunting, chalk fun, and lots of attention from the family.
Bennett was beyond exhausted when we got home!
Thanks to my family for the Easter baskets, treats, and special day for all of us!
We are spoiled and grateful!

Earth Day & Half Way

Happy Earth Day!

Today Bennett went to school for a couple of hours while I had my doctor visit for the next Turpderson baby. My doctor wheeled in the ultrasound unit to try to get a peek at the gender but again the baby did not want to cooperate and we only had a few minutes. All signs are pointing to girl(!!) but she said not to paint the nursery just yet, and that we would try to get a definitive answer at my appointment next month.

We spent the evening celebrating a friend's Earth Day Birthday, with a rainy but fun barbecue.

Walking Partner

I love taking walks (especially when I am prego), and I have the best little walking partner around. Because of my obsession, Bennett and I make time to walk pretty much everyday, pick a lake or a big park (or both like today), and walk, walk, walk as much as we can. He is also the friendliest little walking partner around and waves at almost everyone we pass. He makes his presence known. If he has a hat on, he will even play peek-a-boo with passers-by. They usually don't get it though and think that I am letting my kid hang in the stroller with a hat covering his face. I think he's hilarious. At least he loves taking a stroll as much as I do!
