All Clear
This morning we went to see our ENT doctor who gave us the good news that Bennett's ears look fine, his hearing is normal, his tubes are intact, and he can dunk that head under water as much as he wants now! He sat happily in the patient chair for a good 15 minutes just reading his books while waiting for the doctor to come in.

My 15 Month Stats!
Weight: 22 pounds (36%)
Height: 30 inches (10%)
Head: 19.6 inches (>100%)
The little man received 3 shots and a blood draw finger poke but managed to calm down fairly quickly after it all. The visit with his doctor was great and she was most impressed with his word use and knowledge for such a little guy. (Some of his current favorites are: spider, turtle, watermelon, saying 'morning' when he wakes up, love you, apple, happy, car, cheese, gorilla, water, and many more as he is a talker!) Go B!
His new book from the doctor is about the best prize he could get since he is so into reading right now!

Sunday Dinner
Beach Time!
We love the beach - especially Bennett!
It wasn't the greatest weather this morning, but that did not stop us from enjoying some relaxing beach time, playing in the sand, and packing a picnic lunch today. Bennett is a free spirit when his feet hit that sand and we love to see his happiness when he is enjoying something he loves so much.

Those Early Morning Walks
This weekend, our usual daily walks occurred in the early hours of the morning. We all went yesterday, but today we let Daddy sleep in and my little man and I escaped out the door just after 6am to tour our new neighborhood. Bennett loves these kind of mornings - he is bright eyed with his bare toes curling and kicking in the early morning breeze.
I love sharing these moments with him - it makes the 5:30 wake up times a bit more bearable!

Saturday Around the House
We have chosen to devote any of our recent free time to working really hard on getting settled into the house so we can still have plenty of time to enjoy the summer under an organized roof and some time together as a family of 3 before our little girl arrives. We have not been sleeping much and have probably been having too many pizza nights in and out, but it's all for the best of reasons and you won't hear any complaints from us as we remain focused and thankful that we have a home to make our own.
Today was mostly about the house (and always about Bennett of course), as our day
consisted of some yard work, working on the house inside and out, running several errands, then a visit here with friends this afternoon. We are making great progress and have finished several of the higher priorities on our list. We have almost all of the boxes unpacked, closets filled and organized, most of the rooms complete or just in need of a few more pieces of decor, and feel great about it all. It has felt like our home actually since the moment we moved in, even with all of our belongings scattered everywhere at first.
Though there is lots to be done, we will never stop finding the time for backyard play, walks, and all the fun we can get with our Bennett. I will say again that I am pretty sure he loves it here as I suspected he would!

Locked Out
Tonight we made a rookie mistake and locked ourselves out of the house when we left for a walk!
Luckily, I had my phone along so we called and were eventually rescued by AAA. We had just over an hour of wait time to play outside, ride the coupe around, and hang with our neighbors - but we were sure glad to see the locksmith pull up when he did as the delay was not part of our evening plan. Bennett was all smiles during all of this as he loved playing on his slide and smiling and talking with his new friends next door.

THANK YOU Nonna!!
We so appreciate Nonna for coming to stay with us during the big move. We could not have accomplished all that we did without her and we love her so much!
Thank you for sharing your time with all of us - we loved going out for pizza, spending time outside with you, and our dinner at the lake. B is very fond of your loving ways and we know he will miss all the special Nonna walks, cuddles, stories and playtime. Please come back soon - next time we promise to work less and have even more fun!
