Such Fun Walks
We strolled on up to the pond at the end of our street tonight in search of some turkeys, deer, and "gooses", all of which we have seen outside our front windows or in the backyard. Bennett loves spotting them as you can imagine, so we all had fun searching in the bushes, looking in the woods, talking about the animals, then just sitting in the grass to play and laugh.

Cuddling with my Cousin
In between all of those energetic toddler moments that the kids shared while my brother and niece were over tonight, Cousin Maddie and Bryn shared some special little moments like this..... it's so cute that Maddie is focusing so calmly on holding Bryn gently and giving her some sweet cuddles, and Bryn seems to be loving it too!

Birthday Fun
Lake Harriet
We walked Lake Harriet this morning, then sat to watch the ducks swim for a while before heading to the benches and big stage where we played some more and didn't even realize it was approaching lunch time when we thought we'd be home well before then. I know I always say it, but I love my weekend mornings with these three, a latte, and nature, to get our morning started off right!

Giddy for Spring
The seventy degree weather kept us all outside for just about every waking moment of our entire weekend. We hit parks, took many walks, grilled some wonderful meals, played a whole lot of trucks and baseball, stayed up well past bedtime, ... oh, it was lovely I must say. I could not be happier that spring is finally here and I am giddy when I think about all of our moments and what lies ahead for our family.

French Park
We love French Park because it has an awesome playground, nice walking trails, and a lake with a beach! It's everything we love all rolled into one giant place, so every minute of our time there today was full and fun, especially with our extremely energetic toddler and a girl who is so mellow about doing whatever is on the agenda. I don't think Bennett stopped moving the entire time we were there, until he finally decided to sit down for some water and a snack during our mini picnic!

Our Walks in the Park
There is a park we visit quite often which is about a three minute car ride from our front door. It's a trail park, full of people, dogs, beautiful light, and wonderful nature. The kids and I went again this morning, and walked and walked, or in Bennett's case, ran. We talked about all things interesting in the toddler world, had conversations with passers-by, relaxed on a park bench, stopped for water breaks, held hands when Bennett felt so inclined, hugged some trees, gathered sticks and rocks, and just let the morning sun shine on our smiling faces. These are the moments I love most, it's so much more than just a walk...with my babies so happy, so content, so enthralled by the world around them.
