Chilly Walk

 We always try to get a family walk in on a holiday, so we bundled up and headed to Minnewashta this morning.  It was windy and chilly but luckily the kids are troopers and appreciate the outdoors as we do! It was a brief walk but we all had fun!

Easter!

Easter morning is so fun! The kids awoke to fun-filled baskets followed by a special breakfast and an Easter Egg hunt.  Bennett loved his new puddle boots and gardening tools and Bryn went straight to her apple and yogurt raisins which is so very appropriate for her.  Bennett was also thrilled to see a car in the last giant egg found during the hunt (and he loved the m&m's too!).  Happy Easter!

More Eggs!

 We continued the tradition of coloring Easter eggs as a family tonight.  We had more cracked eggs and two very happy kids who loved the project.  Bennett was really into the egg stickers and I was not at all surprised that he loved his "fire truck" egg the most.  Bryn just wanted to do everything by herself which is the norm for her these days! I love a fun tradition!

Easter Bunny!!

Guess who loved the Easter Bunny!? The second time we saw him today, Bennett made a point to give him a big hug! 

EGG-Stravaganza Egg Hunt!

 This morning we did the Egg-Stravaganza! It was full of fun activities for the kids - an egg scavenger hunt, some games and prizes, face painting (Bryn was the sweetest bunny and Bennett wanted a "red egg please!"), treats of course, and a puppet show where Bennett eagerly volunteered to go on stage to be part of a kids' song, which if I may say, was adorable to see! It was a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday!

Coloring Eggs with Nana

 The kids loved coloring eggs with Nana today - they made a big mess, "hatched" a few eggs, and we all laughed a bunch!

We love when Nana visits! My mom came up last night and Andrew and I were able to thoroughly fill up on a fabulous dinner and conversation with a date night together downtown while Nana watched over everything at home (big thanks, Mom!!).  The kids were thrilled to have her here and were spoiled with attention and lots of Easter treats too.  We all enjoyed a great Friday off together!  Thank you so much for all of the love and help, Nana!

Bike Ride

"Mom, can I practice my bicycle and my tricycle?"

Now that the snow is melting, Bennett has been asking the above question daily, so we've been out with him all week on mini bike and tricycle rides.  He loves when we cheer him on!

Not a day can pass lately where you won't find Bryn either laying in our closet or relaxing on Bennett's bed doing her coloring routine.  She grabs her little bucket of crayons and her favorite notebook and settles in to either of her two favorite spots for a little coloring session where she is definitely content and happy.

Those Curls

Bryn is starting to get these adorable little curls! She has her daddy to thank for that.....and yes, she continues to have endless kisses for him as you can see!

Wagon at the Lake

Bennett really wanted to bust out the wagon today, which then prompted Bryn to also say "wagon ride" and since we had plans to head to the lake anyway, we threw the wagon in the car and had two very happy kids as we walked along the path.  They absolutely love their wagon rides and got many smiles and greetings as they laughed loudly with each other. 

Oh, Spring!

Where is the spring weather I've been dreaming about?  Whatever the case, we are not the family who sits around waiting for it! With decent temps tonight, our little hike felt great before we headed out for Friday night dinner!
