These Days

After a little baking, some shopping, and a birthday party today, it was awesome to have Andrew back from his trip this evening.  We all went to our favorite spot to chat and explore together - all the kiddos happiest in the fresh air, Norah exactly in her element as she so curiously and fearlessly 'runs' those trails, Bryn full of giggles, and Bennett always searching for treasures - then dinner out before we all headed home to relax together.  These days fill my heart!

Cookies of Course!

Dad came home today, so of course Bryn wanted to bake something to celebrate! Love this girl and all of her ideas!

TGIF!

We had a fun, late night of pizza, games, and crafts with Uncle Casey - so fun that the big kids were up until 10! Hooray for Friday!



Reading and Snuggling

These are from the other night - we are missing Daddy as he is traveling this week! I love that Andrew wears his girls' hair clips and Norah can usually be found carrying art supplies of some sort! If ever a daughter adored her Daddy....

Science Night

The kids and I had science night and examined things like water, tree bark, spices, onion, fruit peels, and a fun mixture of other things they created tonight.  Amazingly, it kept everyone's attention for quite a while and they loved being scientists.  I love watching Norah as she always has to be a big kid and do whatever big bro and sis are doing.

Rarely does a night pass where these two are not found laughing and being silly before bedtime reading.  This is how I found them tonight - all smiles and holding hands, completely unprompted, and so, so happy together. 

What It's All About

Pond Party

We spent the evening with neighbors for some fun out on the pond then dinner inside to warm up! Bennett skated for a short while, then pretty quickly moved on to hockey in his boots, plus sled rides around the paths of the pond for the girls.  Great way to wrap up an awesome weekend!

Nature Walk

After a family Starbucks date, we toured the nature center this morning - a little chilly but not one complaint as we walked along looking for more treasures, birds, animal tracks, and so on.  I love mornings like this.

Norah is happiest anywhere she is with her Daddy - these two are the sweetest pair.

Walk Through the Woods

We had an awesome hike in this great weather this morning.  We were definitely all in our element, and Norah so much that she took a nice little snooze while cuddled in on Andrew's back with the sweet sun shining down on her cheeks.  We always collect treasures on our walks and seem to have the best conversations out in nature too.  Everyone is so happy and free.  My very favorite place with my very favorite people!
