Birthday Cupcake in the Park

 

I am one lucky lady.  For my 36th birthday, we finished up our soccer morning then Andrew got the kids and I a giant cupcake and chose a quaint little park where we could enjoy some family time and share our treat after a sweet round of Happy Birthday songs.  It doesn't get much better than this.  I loved my birthday hugs and kisses!

Bennett loves running.  Tonight he ran his first 'non-stop' mile.  He said his legs were getting tired just over the half way point but to no surprise he kept on going and met the goal he set out to achieve.  He picks out his own running gear too.  Go B!

I declared it a no cooking night and we went out for the $6 pasta special near the lake, right after we stopped for a long run-around by the water. When these spring evenings are decent, there is no way we can stay in the house, and I know they totally agree.  

Super Star Student!

Bennett earned a Super Star Student Award this week!  Bennett's class practices "bucket filling", which is when you do something kind and completely unpromted for someone else or for the class.   When a teacher notices, she will add a sticker to your bucket.  He loves the idea of it so much that he has even created a bucket so he can do it at home.  This week he earned his tenth sticker which made him a Super Star Student! Keep filling those buckets Bennett!

Another Good Day

 

Cruisin' Around

We busted out the Burley for its first ride of the season today and spent a large part of our morning cruising around on bicycles, tricycles, and in the coupe. The kids absolutely love riding bikes whenever they can, so this morning it was no problem to get them to clean up their rooms before being able to head out.    Norah was definitely up for a cruise, but she also had no fear standing up and trying to crawl out at times, just for fun.  Sometimes her fearless nature reminds me of her big sister! Sunny Sunday mornings are the best!

Chatting Over Pancakes

 

It's so obvious and so pure the way these two love up on their baby sis.  Moments like this happen all throughout our days - simply happy.  Here they are, giggling and chatting while Norah finishes her blueberry pancakes.  Not one day passes where I do not give thanks that these three have each other. 

Hooray!!

We had quite a day of excitement around here with soccer, a birthday party, lots of bike riding, and the best part..? We got to see Uncle Dan and Aunt Kristen who were in town on a short weekend trip to attend a wedding! We all met at the Sculpture Gardens and enjoyed some fun in the park, complete with birthday cake to celebrate some May birthdays! Such a treat to see you both!! If only it could have been longer! We had lots of fun and the kiddos LOVED it! Love you guys!
