We decided to have family date night at the lodge after our day in the water. We strolled around, stopped to play bocce, grab a beverage, smell the flowers,....then pasta at the Italian restaurant!

Brainerd!!!
We arrived up north this morning for our ANNUAL BRAINERD TRIP! Yes we were that excited! This place holds tons of wonderful summer memories for us and we are ready to make more! We wasted no time at all and headed straight.to.the.beach (!) when we arrived. The kids are so happy and so comfortable here so everyone just enjoys every moment together! We played, ate lunch under our umbrellas on the beach, and hopped back and forth between the pool and sand all day - the best!!

We got to play at Uncle Corey's place today and the kids were thrilled to share cake and ice cream to celebrate their cousin's birthday. Fun time with family!

Friday Night at Lake Winona
We took the kids down to Lake Winona after dinner tonight - the ducks loved us and we loved their visit! They came so close and we didn't even have any food!
Reading at Lark
The kids and I headed down to my mom's today and stopped at Lark Toys on the way. They loved all of the cool toys and it was no surprise that we really loved the book store too. The woman there stopped working to talk to us and was so impressed by Bennett's knowledge and love of books. Norah also tried to climb a bookshelf or two.

Babies!!
We were so excited to visit my dear friend and her adorable twin boys tonight. Wow, are they ever sweet and perfect! I am glad my kiddos pass the family requirement of loving babies as much as I do! Bennett still tells me he'd like one more sister quite often! I loved seeing them all together!

Being Together
Up well past "bedtime" tonight but always worth it to me for times like this. Quiet music playing and two little ones who are so motivated to help in the kitchen and just want the day together to keep going - you can feel their happy, comforted little hearts. Their banana bread and muffins turned out to be quite delicious. Teach your children well....
