We loved having our big and little pals over for Andrew's birthday bbq tonight! It is so adorable to see all the kids running around, talking, and teaching each other new things.
It was a wonderful night - thanks to all for celebrating with us!

We could never tell you enough how much your loving and generous heart means to us. You work so very hard and we adore all the little moments of daddy and husband time that we get to share with you as our family grows. After quite a busy week, it was nice to celebrate Andrew's birthday by heading out and filling him up with beer and pizza tonight. Bennett loved saying "Happyday, love you" to him several times and feeding him frosting from his carrot cake. We love celebrating all that you are Andrew!
Cheers to another year of adventures ahead - I look forward to every second!

Front Yard Picnic

Tonight we set up a picnic dinner in the front yard with yesterday's leftovers and enjoyed the perfect weather while lounging around on the lawn in the cool breeze. The simple things in life.

Sunday Barbecue

We had such a fun day with my family today who drove up to spend a sunny day at our place. We ate lots, played lawn games, enjoyed a Sunday, and stayed very entertained by one little Bennett. Thanks for making the trip - we loved the family time!

Great Day

What a great day it's bound to be when we all got to sleep in until 8am! What a treat, that truly never happens around here! We fit tons of errands in around town this morning, crossing off almost everything on my ambitious to-do list for the weekend (including the bonus end-of-the-list pedicure that I was able to squeeze in) which felt great. We had a barbecue to attend for our friends who are in town from Hawaii, but on the way we had a sudden change of plans as one of my closest friends went into labor right as we were headed to the party. As we were on call to watch their little girl when this all went down, we speedily turned the car around and headed to their place as quickly as possible and proceeded to hang with the kids while awaiting the news of their baby who arrived very quickly himself too!

We had a nice night of bubbles, some 'cooking', and plenty of singing and shaking during our dance party concert. Congrats to our friends too - it was so exciting to hear all your news of the day!

Lone Lake Park

It was such a beautiful night out at Lone Lake Park - we played on the slides, watched the birds, looked for turtles, and enjoyed the sunshine - before making a quick stop at Dairy Queen for a yummy cone!

Wednesdays with Bennett

It felt so so so good to have the day off from work to spend with my Bennett!
So of course after our morning commitments of the 36 week check-up for baby and a major Target run, we spent the rest of the day doing all the things B loves like playing with trucks and dirt and water in the backyard, coloring, singing, and just running around being happy!

When Bennett and I got home from our day today, we were so lucky to have Cousin Maddie, Uncle Corey, and Nana here for some super play time! Thanks for all the excitement you guys!

Although the Twins did not get a win, we still had a really good time cheering at the game tonight! I love teaching our little Twins fan all about baseball!

We all enjoyed a fun evening with dear friends who had us over for dinner and lots of energetic play in their backyard tonight! It was a great way to spend a Friday night - thanks for having us!

Our 5th Fourth

Yes, it was 5 years ago today that our paths crossed in that Iowa corn field and so many dreams have come true with my hubby since then! I am so thankful to have Andrew and Bennett as my source of strength as I was shedding tears today when we reunited after a long and late day of work and right before I had to head into a conference call at home for my job in Seattle. We are definitely adjusting to some new schedules this week and I won't deny that it is making me second guess if I made the right decision for our family. My two favorite people always know how to cheer me up though and along with their hugs and kisses upon arrival to home, they also had flowers and giant cupcakes for me. We made it a park night so we could just hang as a family and enjoy all the great things that we love about being our little clan of 3 with one on the way!

My mom arrived Tuesday evening to spend the night and all of today with us for a fun Wednesday off from work! We did some shopping then went to the lake before Nana treated us to a tasty lunch at Maynard's. Thanks for an eventful day and for all the treats and special Nana and Mom time - see you soon!
