Five Months Old!

I really can hardly believe that our little Norah is already five months old!  She truly is so laid back, easygoing, asks for so little, loves books, loves her siblings, loves kisses on her neck, loves growling like a bear when she "talks", loves to sit face to face and smile and drool at you, snuggles hard into your shoulder, and is so adored by all of us of course! Her face lights up when she sees her siblings, she is learning how to sit up on her own, and quietly tries to grab hold of everything.  Little Norah, you are the absolute sweetest!!

Big Bro

Bennett loves his sisters.  In fact, the other day, he so innocently asked me if he could have three of them! 

He likes to sing the ABCs to Norah and often calls her his little darling.  And tonight, right as the two big kids were walking into the kitchen for dinner, I heard him say "Bryn, you're a genius, ya know."  
Such a great big bro!

Bryn's First Haircut

Bryn had her very first haircut this morning, and really it was more like a little trim just to get rid of the baby hairs.  Her curls are still going strong.  She sat perfectly still and chatted about elephants and did some jumping when she was done.  She was happy to say she went to the "haircut shop!" today.

Tonight Bryn let us know, "I'm a good big sis!" and "I'm so curious, Mom."  

I could not agree more! She's quite happy being Bryn!!

Silly Kiddos

We loved hosting friends for dinner tonight and the kiddos were thrilled to have their pals Fritz and Lily over to play.  We had another fire out back and these five had some wild fun!

Fun Friday

We had a great night with Nana, Uncle Corey, and Cousin Maddie.  Everyone played their little hearts out before we headed in for pizza! We love when family fills the house!

Time With Nana

My mom arrived this afternoon to spend a couple of nights at our place.  She made popcorn for reading time tonight and the kids got to enjoy this special treat while Nana read all the books they picked out.  As an added bonus, my mom watched over the sleeping children while Andrew and I escaped for dinner and dessert out together.  Thanks, Mom!

 We made necklaces and bracelets and sipped on hot apple cider while Norah took her morning nap.

The Arboretum in the fall is a beautiful place to be.

Love This Girl

 

This girl is so full of happiness and confidence.  This morning she said, "I wanna go outside and play soccer with Joe Mauer, Mom.  I wanna play soccer with Joe Mauer!" And of course she has to put on her own coat and her own shoes (her brother's boots in this case), then go outside and play because "the animals like me, Mom!" and "I gotta feed the deer a carrot!"  She has also taken to a love of spelling her name.  "I spell my name B-R-Y-N."  I also asked her today what she was going to be for Halloween and she always answers with just what she chose to be, but today it was "I'm gonna be a Turpin!" 

She is one awesome girl!

Day With Daddy

 

The girls' daycare was closed today so Bryn and Norah were of course thrilled to be able to spend all day with Daddy.  As you would expect, there were lots and lots of smiles.

Perfect Fall Day

We spent Sunday evening outside with the fire going, more yummy s'mores, football, and leaf piles.  We stayed out as long as we could to enjoy this perfect fall day.  Have I mentioned how much I love fall?
