SOLD

We received a competing offer on our house over the weekend that out-bid the current offer we were in negotiations with. We could not believe it, maybe still can't. Less than 3 weeks after our house went on the market, we are thrilled to say that we are in contract for a sale!! We are set to close on 4/4 (ironically, the 4th is always the special day that we celebrate each month), so it will be reason for yet another celebration.

Friendship

We toasted the evening away with a few close friends at a local pub for one last night of fun while we could still officially call ourselves Seattle residents. What a great night we had celebrating true friendship and family spirit, and how thankful we are to have such love and support in our lives. It was an evening of happy tears, laughter, lots of hugs, and just pure gratitude for it all!

Daddy Is Back!

Bennett and I sure are happy to have Andrew back from Minneapolis for the weekend!! He started his new job this past week and is so enthusiastic and excited for the new experiences ahead!! We had so much fun hitting our favorite pizza joint last night and of course Bennett loved that Dad was back for all the bed time stories, kisses, and cuddles. They are a fantastic duo and even made me escape for a Saturday morning massage while they ran errands without me! You are the best!

I'm Gonna Be....

A BIG BROTHER!!!
We could not be happier to announce that another Turpderson will be joining the world in early September!!! Our hearts are full and we feel so blessed to be able to start yet another adventure on this fantastic voyage of parenthood.
The newest little one has a strong heartbeat and has definitely been giving me a run for my money the past few weeks. Bennett will surely show his little brother or sister how to have a good time!! We can't wait!!

Good Luck This Week Andrew!!

You are an incredible husband and father and we know you are going to do great this week!
Congrats again on all you have accomplished!
Go Taarrrget!!!

Weekly Wrap-Up

It was another crazy week, but for all the right reasons. The good kind of busy that you just have to take in stride. We had several showings on the house which in some cases meant being kicked out at the last minute and we are getting tons of practice at keeping the house looking just right for potential buyers at all times. We wrapped up several tasks and pretty much ate out every day of the week as it just seemed to work best for all. Cold and flu symptoms also decided to attack, but Bennett and I are slowly starting to feel better. Andrew ended his nearly 12 year career at Starbucks too, so the reality is slowly starting to sink in that our life in Seattle will soon be coming to a close.
We are seeing folks as we can, breathing in some extra northwest air, and visiting the beach, waves, and our sentimental spots whenever possible. As you can imagine, so many emotions are running through our heads but we believe that each day is what you make of it and we plan to make them all great - here and in Minneapolis.
Today we loved spending time at Alki, one of our favorite beaches - hitting the Starbucks (where we sadly, no longer get a discount), walking along the water in the sunshine, and enjoying our last Cactus lunch for a while - all while a snow storm was falling in the city we will soon call home.

this little man will surely miss his moments on the beach
i truly have guilt for having to take the ocean away from him

Sunday Funday

We started the morning over brunch with friends at a favorite local cafe, followed by a giant chocolate malt, then a long walk around Green Lake to burn it all off. We enjoyed playing in the park this afternoon and spent lots of time quacking and waving at the ducks.
As a side note, our first open house attracted 16 parties and yielded some very positive feedback, so we continue to keep our fingers crossed!

Children's Museum

We had a great lunch up on Queen Anne today, then headed to the Children's Museum to play our little hearts out for the afternoon. You can't go wrong with books, costumes, crafts, imagination, and a world full of fun for a child.

Eleven Months Old Today!!

Nonno and Nonna Visit

We were happy to have Andrew's parents spend a night with us last week and tonight. We appreciate the extra help and entertainment during this busy time, and always say the more the merrier! It was especially nice tonight because Andrew and I were able to escape for a dinner date and some errands. Thanks Nonno and Nonna!

For Sale!! (Adorable Baby Not Included)

As of today, our humble abode is officially on the market! After many late hours of packing, stacking, cleaning, scrubbing, purging, organizing, staging, and meeting after meeting, we are proud to say that the house looks fantastic and is ready for a sale!! Our first open house is this Sunday and we have our fingers crossed that someone out there loves this place as much as we do!

The Serious Reader

Bennett's ABC book is by far his current favorite. We read it and say the ABCs over and over, usually with Bennett doing one of his dances to the beat of the song. And as you can see, he turns into quite the serious fellow when he reads on his own.

We Like Pike

Boy, are we ever gonna miss the market.
We enjoyed our usual coffee shop, mini donuts, and shopping followed by soup and sandwiches for lunch at Kell's on this misty Seattle morning.

Peps and Pizza

It was pizza and a peps group at our place tonight. Sadly, it may have been our last one as a family before the big move. We love the fun of it all and it makes it that much more meaningful when we are all going through similar stages together as the kids grow. Bennett and the buddy to his left share a birthday, and the two boys on either end share a birthday just two days later. What fun it has been to watch them grow throughout this first year!
