Tiny Tonka Soccer!

It was Game One of the Tiny Tonka spring season tonight! I have to say I had SO much fun being a part of it all - I laughed and teared up watching my boys out there!  Andrew is the coach for "Team Zebra!" and we met the lovely kids and parents on our new team tonight.  He was a natural out there and it was a hoot to watch the chaos and the fun! Bennett did awesome! He made two goals (he picked the ball up and ran about 1 foot directly in front of the goal, set the ball down, and scored!) and had huge smiles when everyone cheered for him.  It took him a moment to grasp why we did not have more than one ball on the field during the actual "game" but he soon got over it and started running in all directions.  All of the kids did great - we had treats, waters, stickers, and tons of entertainment from "Coach Andrew" (or Coach Daddy if you are B) who was loved by all.  I was full of pride for both of them! Go Zebras!!

All Better

Our little Bryn had to stay home sick today due to a few major vomiting episodes (the one all over in the car was the best), so the kids and I had a sunny Monday off together.  She was so very tired all day but by the time 7pm rolled around, she was thankfully back to her lively self and was able to keep me company by singing songs almost the whole way on a long walk together.  Bennett enjoyed being my "handy helper" for the day, eagerly fetching what I needed and reminding his sister - "it's ok, sweetheart."  You cannot keep this girl from smiling for long!

We tried a new frozen custard place after some time at the park this morning. 

Bryn loved it so much, she insisted on two spoons to get it all in! (I wonder where she gets it?!)

Mill City

It was a morning full of sunshine down at the Mill City area.  We saw the sites on a nice walk before heading to lunch across the river on the Tuggs patio where the popcorn and big glass of lemonade were a hit.  We had a full day outside and it was grand!

Friday Fun

Finally we are at real spring temperatures around here! It was awesome to play outside so much of the day and evening!  Uncle Casey came over for some burgers on the grill and lots of backyard fun and games were had! It was a challenge getting the kids back inside! What a wonderful night!

Here is a slice of Bennett reading to his little sis.   He can be quite the storyteller.  This is one of their favorites to do together and one of Bryn's favorites in general as she loves butterflies and she likes the part where she can name the food!

Tuesday Fun

When the Tuesday crew got together tonight, Bryn could not get enough of her Uncle Corey.  She did not want him to put her down and insisted on lots of special uncle love! (Thanks for indulging her, Cor!)

Let's Read Together

While we were all playing in Bennett's room this afternoon, Bryn said "Bennett read" and climbed right up into the chair with him where they both sat reading contently for a little bit.  They are the best of friends!

A Snowstorm!?

Yes, this really happened today!! We are thankful for two little ones who have a zest for life!! Bryn loved eating the snow and Bennett was all about building snowballs! What else can you do but get out and enjoy it?! (Although we do hope it melts quickly!)

Spin Art

Bennett loves a project....tonight it was Spin Art because he wanted to make one for me and one for his teacher! So sweet!

Dream Bubbles!

Every night at bedtime, we blow "Dream Bubbles" for Bennett to help him have happy smiles and the sweetest of dreams as he sleeps.  They put such a smile on his face and it's awesome to hear all about his sweet dreams in the morning! 

Pizza Night!

It's been a while since we made homemade pizza around here! The kids are great little chefs who enjoyed plenty of pepperoni and olives before we even got the pizza in the oven.  Yum, yum!

Love This Girl

I am so in love with my little Brynnie.  Every day I find myself wanting to me more like her.  It is hard to believe she is already a 19 month old! She is proving to be a fearless, opinionated, fun-loving, and friendly little girl who knows her stuff!  She is full of smiles, words, and sentences(!) and we have many moments in any given day where Andrew and I look at each other and laugh along with her or look at each other in pure wonder and pride in what she has said or done. She giggles like no other and lucky for us, absorbs everything quickly because she will eagerly repeat anything we say.  She loves announcing when "daddy's home!", or saying "feel better" if you hurt yourself, or "more Chobani  peez!" when she is running low on yogurt, or "it's raining, it's pouring!", which is one of her favorite songs.
