Trick or Treat!

We spent Halloween night with friends and neighbors! We all started with a pizza party at our place then headed around our circle with a very happy troop of trick-or-treaters! We cozied up from the cold later on and told scary stories with only a flashlight in the dark before bed and our kiddos loved it.  What a fun night!

Pumpkin Carving 2014!

There was rarely a dull or clean moment during our pumpkin carving tonight.  Bennett was SO proud of his vampire pumpkin and Bryn loved turning her pumpkin into an m&m! 

Reading and Dinner Prep

It's hard not to make regular stops at the library since we drive right by on our way home from school.  It's a good reminder for me to swing in when we can.  Our visit worked out perfectly tonight - they all actually read their new books or colored semi-quietly at the table while I prepped for dinner.  By the time Andrew arrived home though, they were all hiding their heads under the tablecloth for him to find them, and were very ready to eat!

Painting Pumpkins

We visited the pumpkin patch again tonight then stayed up way past bedtime to paint more little pumpkins that the kids had picked out.  They loved this project and I love their 'works of art' on display along the mantle. 

My Favorite Toys

 

Bryn got to draw and/or cut out her favorite toys as one of her art projects today.  I love that her favorites were: "Norah, nail polish, my dollies, and Leaves!!" Nice work, Bryn!

Jam Session

 

The kids had a keyboard jam session after baths tonight. Norah liked to either be dancing or sitting right on the keyboard, Bennett played and played those keys, and Bryn was so entertained by everything! We danced and sang - so fun!

Little Pumpkin Patch

 

 Every fall we head a few miles west to visit this cute little local pumpkin patch as the sun starts to set.  I love the memories we made tonight.
