Celebrate

There was lots of sweet chaos while we decorated the house last night......and it's always sweet when they wake up and keep celebrating.  Love my silly little Christmas crew.

We'll Take It!

Keeping it simple today: the kiddos all agreed that this was the one!
Now home to decorate!

Christkindlmarkt

We attended a little local Christmas gathering this morning, one highlight being a short trolley ride where the kiddos got to sit with Santa and let him know what they hope for on Christmas.  We also pet the reindeer and walked the town a bit before heading toward home to pick out our Christmas tree!

The Good Dinosaur

It was family date night for us! Movies or screen time in general are still a pretty big deal around our house so imagine their excitement when we surprised the kids with a night at the movies! I struggled with taking Norah along since she's two and still hardly ever watches anything, but in the end we decided that we would all stick together for FAMILY night and she would have been so sad to miss it! Lucky for her she's the third child so she gets to break the rules once in a while! I can hardly handle her happiness in this picture and she so adorably held Andrew's hand through the whole movie, just like they were on a real date.  She really is the happiest little person you will ever meet.  We saw the Good Dinosaur which my kiddos had been talking about ( and which I also thought was G but is rated PG!) - we got through some storm scenes that were a bit scary for B and b and in the end had a fabulous family night and left the theater with a great message from the movie!  Norah fell in love with Arlo the dinosaur and they have been pretending to be the dinosaur kids ever since!
Family date night is the best!

Kiddos

Despite the smiles, we were sad to say bye to family this morning. These kiddos could have giggled together all day!

Thanksgiving 2015!

A house full of family and happy children running about makes me one very grateful mama.  We enjoyed a feast prepared by Chef Andrew with several additional treats from my mom which made for a ton of good food and cheer today! My whole family spent the night so it was like one giant sleepover with bellies full and everyone pretty exhausted by the end of it all.  We played in the snow, played bingo, sang, danced, ate, ate some more, snuggled, colored, did magic tricks, laughed, reminisced, and on and on as the day went on! We are thankful for family, friends, home, comfort, perspective, health, love, and the start of each new day.
So much beauty in all of the moments and I sure am lucky to share in that beauty with my crew!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Pickles and Kisses

Bryn and I had the whole day together so of course we stopped in at school to visit B for lunch.
She picked a pickle to bring as his special treat and he made sure to let her know how much he loved it.  You should have seen how many kisses he gave Bryn when it was time to go.  My heart exploded, it was so cute.

Twins

Born a dad's girl, happiest a dad's girl, and I am pretty certain that's just how it will be forever which is really one of the best gifts I can watch unfold as my girls grow up.  I can see Andrew in her eyes and smile in this pic.  (her hair looks so long too!?)

Here Comes the Sun

We've always been early risers around here and have definitely learned that getting out in that sunshine and fresh air is the best way to start the day if we can!

Lunch Date

I was loving this lunch date with my favorite boys today! B loved having both of us for lunch at school and was sooooo happy when he discovered that I also packed dessert!

Snuggle Up!
