We have some huge lilac bushes, so these little sweethearts helped in bringing some pretty surprise deliveries to neighbors today!

Two more games this weekend made for one very happy little baseball player!

We headed out for pizza after then home for some neighborhood fun!

Legos at the Arboretum

This morning we went to visit the new Lego exhibit that is currently on display at the Arboretum.  It was of course a hit with the Lego fanatics in this family - we also were able to create our own for display with the theme being 'something you wanted to see more of in your community.'  Between all of us, the creations included an airplane, a magic pirate ship submarine, a giant diving board for big and little kids, an alien tower, and a water slide into the city.

Friday with Friends

We had a s'mores night planned with friends but again the rain kept us from being outside! So, we had s'mores ice cream inside instead which turned out to be just as effective in making our night super fun of course!

Also, all he wanted to do this morning was weed the rock beds........wow, I love him!

Check-Up

Bennett did not leave Norah's side at her two year check-up appointment today.  He even held her hand during her shot and we quickly learned it wasn't really necessary since she didn't even shed one tear but instead gave a puzzled look, became obsessed with her band-aid and really wanted to be free to keep exploring the room.  We'll still always be there to take care of her!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a huge batch of pumpkin seeds to plant so we created the Turpin Pumpkin Patch out in the back of the yard tonight. It's another fun thing for the kiddos to tend to and we'll see if any pumpkins actually grow!

We love an evening with friends - we are so lucky to have wonderful neighbors and a super crew of kids who get along great! What a fun evening spent grilling and eating good food with a great bunch! This may have been the only time the kids sat still all night and they were ready to keep moving!

Birthday Fun

We had some family over to celebrate Norah's special day.  Once we realized that there was no end in sight for the light rain that had been falling all day, we grabbed our umbrellas and headed out for a walk! It made the day quite memorable and we had some very happy kiddos!

I'm Two!

We've been wanting to do an outdoor chalkboard for a while, so Andrew and Bennett made one for Norah's birthday gift! She loves it (we all do!)!

Our Sweet Norah is TWO!!!

Norah Alexandra is TWO! Where can I even begin with this one? I can say she is everyone's favorite around here with her loving, sweet, energetic spirit.  She has brought endless love and magic to this family like no other and we all have such a soft spot for her in our hearts.  Norah is THE BEST hugger, and has such a sweet, wise, soul.  She laughs at everything and nothing, can be quite mischievous, has SO much energy and curiosity inside that tiny little body, loves to dance, jump, and climb, rarely sits still, loves animals, is a daddy's girl to the core, and has a genuine love of being with others.  She is the strong, observer type - not seeking attention, but always offering up a hello, a hug, or smile in the friendliest of ways as she takes it all in.  I adore who she is immensely and never want to let her go when I am giving her kisses and hugs before bed.  She is such a dream come true for us! Happy Birthday to our dear, sweet Norsie Pie!
