Field Trip!

The weather was beautiful for Bennett's field trip to the nature center this morning! How fun to hang with him and his little pals! It is such a wonderful group of kids and quite an amazing program!

Soccer!!!

We love soccer season in this house! Honestly the evenings are so fun down at the lake with the ice cream shop a short stroll for a post-game treat.  Last week we were playing in the snow and thankfully tonight was just right!! We are Team Yellow all the way this year, with Bryn playing with the 3's and Bennett playing right after with the 5's.  And, Coach Andrew has taken on head coaching duties for BOTH teams! He's pretty amazing if I may say so! Go Yellow!

Patio Meals

Spring days like today mean we spend the greater part of our days outdoors and it's the start of many simple meals under the patio lights. Tonight, by B's request, our meal included turkey burgers, beans, strawberries, and pickles.  I chose homemade oatmeal butterscotch cookies for dessert.  And, I didn't have to sweep the floor when we were done! Cheers to that and many meals to come!  I even had a beer (well, part of one then I gave the rest to A).

B took it upon himself to paint bird feeders for our neighbors on either side of us today.  He is everyone's chatty little buddy around here, so you can imagine how excited the neighbors were when he delivered their gifts, complete with his initials at the bottom, as "that's what artists do."

Teased by the Beach

We were easily lured in by another fun park this morning and while there, had to of course make a stop at the beach.  These kids are definitely ready for summer weather as they did not want to leave!!

Today we had a fundraising event at the girls' school, complete with a petting zoo, face painting, dancing, crafts, and lunch!

Dear Friends!

I always say that I do not know what I would do without our friends!  We were lucky to have dear friends and their darling daughters (!!) in town from California this week.  We caught up over pizza and playtime tonight! I love this memory of us and our families together! Love you Marn!

T-Ball Thursdays

Norah loves wearing Bennett's helmet at t-ball practice (and fell and split her lip open earlier today if you notice her little injury there).  The girls and I cheered him on as he worked hard out there tonight!

Very cleverly sneaking in all the Dad time she can get - get your helmet on, your puffy skirt, and tennis shoes and help/distract Dad as he gets a little yard work done.  She is a daddy's girl all the way.  (and he's pretty smitten right back!)
