Sweet Brother

Bennett has been an amazing big brother to Norah this week.  She has joined him a few times for his bedtime reading and he loves it.  He has been such a good helper with her and has really understood and followed through on being gentle and calm with her.  Such a sweet boy!

Out For Ice Cream

T-Ball was supposed to start tonight, but just as we arrived at the fields, there was a huge downpour and the call was made to cancel the games.  Of course we had all been excited to meet our team and play, especially Bennett - so he was quite sad to learn that he would have to wait until the following week.  The weather turned around quickly and  although t-ball would not be happening, we instead headed to Licks for ice cream cones, which of course worked to cheer him right up! Yummy, their ice cream is delicious!

Love Her!

Andrew treated Norah and I to lunch again today, this time at Maynard's, one of our go-to spots....too bad the weather did not allow us to sit outside on the patio as we had hoped!  Norah snoozed the whole time and I curled up with her for a little nap when we got home too!  Love this girl!!

Family Walk

Library Visit

Bennett and I made a getaway between feedings this afternoon for a quick trip to the library for new books and to give him some time alone with me.  As usual, he sat in his favorite place and began his reading routine before we made our final selections on what to take home. 

Morning in the Park

This morning, Norah went on her second Starbucks date with us then we took her on a walk through the park before heading out to lunch at one of our favorite spots.  It was so fun to focus all of our attention on her and such a treat to spend such quality time together.  She is quite the sweetheart and never made a peep!

Last Night of Soccer!

We packed up the family and headed to our last soccer game tonight! What a season it was!  We had so much fun watching Bennett play and make new friends and we really enjoyed all of the kids and families too. I was so proud of both Andrew and Bennett for making the whole experience so wonderful for themselves and the team. Andrew handed out special medals for all the kids at the end which was a big hit, then our team of families headed out for pizza to keep the celebration going! What a fun night with everyone!

Painting Projects

 Throughout the day, the big kids stayed busy with some chosen projects, their favorite one being watercolor painting. 

First Day At Home

Baby Norah is definitely very popular at our house.  We spent a great, mellow day at home as a family of five today, enjoying a nice big breakfast, doing art projects, grilling out back for dinner, and getting to know our new little girl.  Life is good!

Home Sweet Home

We are home! I am not one to want to stay in the hospital any longer than necessary as I would much prefer to be home with the whole family together, so Norah and I stayed our required first night then Andrew and Bennett came back later Saturday evening to bring us home.  I think Bennett had a wonderful experience being there to 'help' get us home and it was wonderful to wake up with everyone together in the morning.
