MN State Fair

Our day at the State Fair was awesome! We had hot weather, very happy children, and a full day of fun! The kids loved all the animals, rides, activities, and food! I will admit we did indulge quite a bit with the food but it's so good and only once a year so why not? We all love the all-you-can-drink milk for $1 with fresh cookies - maybe a little too much?!! Too bad we weren't able to go back for another day!

I love that Bennett loves to learn - he has such a curious mind.  And I love that he chose writing practice as his activity this morning.  He is quite excited for pre-school to start in two weeks!

Because of Bryn's wild ways, we have had to do some re-arranging of the bedrooms around here.  Bennett was beyond thrilled when he found out that Norah would be moving in with him for a while.  If ever a brother loved his little sis, he certainly is the one.  He loves her truly and fully and tells her everyday.

Back To Work

 

It does not get any easier leaving my babies to go back to work.  After all, your baby is your baby, and Norah may be my last baby, and she's oh so sweet and cuddly, and perfect to me. 

I am back to work though, working 3 days a week and home with the kiddos for the other two days, and I think we've made a good plan, so I'm hoping that we all find great benefits as we settle into our new routine.   But, oh how I missed my Norah today.

 We headed to Lake Calhoun this morning to get a walk and some play time in before this heat became too unbearable, then stopped at Tinfish for a cool treat!

Three Months Old!

I can hardly believe this little one went and turned three months old on us! She continues to be the sweetest baby, probably the most mellow of our three.  She loves to coo, loves to read, loves when you rub her bald little head, and loves to snuggle.  I never hold back on showering her with kisses!

Bryn Starts New Daycare

I am back to work come Monday, so Bryn started at her new daycare center, doing a half day yesterday and today before she and Norah start a regular 3 days-per-week schedule next week.  She didn't mind at all when we said goodbye and left, as she quickly occupied herself with all of the new toys in front of her.  Her teacher reported that she was happy, mostly played independently on her first day, and that she asked "Can I be excused, pweez?" at the lunch table today.  When I asked what her favorite part of her morning was, she smiled and said "my friends" and told me three of their names. We hope this is the start of many positive days at the new center!
